Which type of project are you applying for? Plaza
Describe the location and your goals for your Parklet or Plaza. The proposed project location is the Northwest corner of 8th and San Pedro, located in the LA Fashion District. We want to vacate the redundant right turn lane and create a pedestrian plaza. There is a median adjacent to the lane, with a beautiful tree in the center, that can be connected and offer great shaded seating and ample space for public activation. Introducing a plaza to this particular intersection will create a centerpiece for LA Flower District patrons, nearby residents, and employees.
