This is an on going concern that I’ve submitted and discussed many times. A stop sign on Alta Vista to slow traffic. I know there is consideration of Lime vs Palm for a stop sign with a likelihood on putting it on Palm because of one traffic study that showed more traffic however yet again last night, walking to Monroe’s Fiesta at 4pm, I witnessed a dad and his 9-10 year old son biking INTO town on Lime. The dad was able to cross Alta Vista but the kid had to stop because of a car. The dad then had to come back across the street to help his kid who was a little nervous. I talked to him and asked why he uses Like and he says because it goes to the park/library. I highly highly encourage the traffic committee members to not only use car traffic studies but also biking traffic when setting up the 4 way stop. I would suspect you see more bike traffic on Lime because it one ways onto the Library going into town and it seems wider (although I am unsure of this is true).
