My name is Kenny Yu, I am a manager at Mikomi Sushi in Monrovia. I am contacting you because we would like to request for a designated parking spot as a loading spot. We frequently have deliveries from vendors and staff when loading and this constantly blocks the entrance through the alley or the street when they are not able to park which is why we would like to request a designated loading spot in the back alley.Previously we had placed a loading sign on the parking spot closest to our trash can after receiving permission from the police however, after receiving more information from another source (Mr. Alfredo Mejia), we found that the lot was owned by the City of Monrovia, we have since removed that loading sign and would like to officially request the rightful owner of the property (City on Monrovia) for permission to have a designated loading space. If it is in your ability to do so, we would be very grateful as it will help keep our staff, vendors, and motorists much safer as they would not need to maneuver around loading vehicles as much with this designated loading space. We did notice that the Human services association owned their own lot next to us so we would also like to inquire if we are able to purchase this lot from the City if possible as we would also be able to freely convert some of the parking spaces into takeout/pick up parking further reducing the amount of cars turning on hazard lights on the streets to pick up orders.
