Please Provide a 1-2 Paragraph Narrative Describing the Design Concept	For my mural, I wanted to bring a variety of wildlife into the piece. I wanted to show the beauty of different plants, animals, and more that are right around us. So often people travel away to see beautiful scenes and life but there's so much to offer right where we live if we take a step back and look around. This particular mural has some very common wildlife you may see such as the black-eyed susan flower, snail, rabbit, mallard duck, etc. I paired those with endangered or threatened species in Illinois such as the blanding turtle, gray bat, least bittern bird, and purple prairie clover. I thought this duality of common versus "rare" could be interesting for the viewers. It can get them to come up to the mural as they see so many things that are so familiar but then will perhaps take a second to question what some of the other species are. We have the hand in the middle holding up the dirt as a common symbol for conservation! We have a hand in helping our environments thrive. This mural is bright and inviting with lots to look at!
