Please Provide a 1-2 Paragraph Narrative Describing the Design Concept |
Hello!
My name is Adam, please let me tell you a little bit about myself! I grew up in Richmond, and I am now living back in Richmond with my wife, helping with my family and our property out here. My entire family has been apart of this community for years, and in many ways. I love Richmond and have a great pride in this little town and have loved watching it grow into its new life. I moved away for a few years and met my wife in Lake Tahoe California, where a big part of my company Onus Art Projects (me haha) was hired to do multiple large scale wall builds and live murals, at a lot at music festivals. My wife and I are both artists and traveled a bit before eventually moving back here to Richmond. Anyways, that’s a little about me. Haha
Again, it’s been really wonderful watching the town grow in a fun modern way, and love the idea of adding murals! I made a few options, and they can all be altered, combined, or the colors changed etc.. I am more than happy to work with any ideas you have. I wanted some to be clean and quaint, while keeping the classic look of Richmond, but with a new pop. Thats my reasoning for the bridge/ trail where I spent a lot of time haha. I also included our town water tower, and some of our vast fields. I love the mounds at glacier park and think it’s a really interesting thing that our town has hills! It’s almost like being in the mountains out here haha. That and with a vibrant bubble- ish lettering, accents of the towns array of wild flowers, fields, and birds, and still have a clean look, but with a modern street art vibe. I also went with a cardinal, as it is the state bird, but was also thinking about a goose. There are so many ideas, it was hard to only make a few mock-ups. I hope this is sufficient, please let me know if you have any questions and I would be happy to accommodate! Thanks again for bringing murals to Richmond!
