Good afternoon. I am writing to report about constant speeding issues on S. California Ave. Speeding on this street is a very common occurrence due to the lack of traffic breaks between Myrtle Ave and Duarte Rd. It is a long stretch of residential street with only one stop sign. Due to this cars are constantly flowing through here and at high rates of speed. I would estimate the average speed of about 45-50 which is unacceptable for a residential street. At times, cars zoom past my home going even faster than that. I would also like to report that in the last two months alone there has been 3 separate accidents in the evenings (that I am aware of), where vehicles are hitting and totaling parked cars. I have attached images of the three incidents I am referring to. In closing I would like to request the addition of speed bumps and or additional stop signs to break up the fast flow of traffic. I believe that this would make this street a much safer area because as of now, myself and my neighbors are all well aware of the dangers posed by this street in its current condition and have complained to CHP when they have come out for these constant accidents. They advised us to report these conditions to both cities of Monrovia and Duarte. I am hopeful that you can assist and make this street safer. Thank you in advance for your time. Will Marquez
