Briefly describe your audience(s) and mission as an artist or organization. The audience is all of the community, for those that want to discover the folklore and the customs of the people of Latin America, and for those who are apart of the Latino Community and want to relive their roots. Our mission is to teach younger generations of Latin Roots, where they came from, their culture, customs, food, music and even instruments.
Briefly describe the project that will take place. 1. Small Theoretical School for Teaching Folklore and Cultural Diversity in the city of Chelsea 2. Multicultural Folk Dance School 3. Visual Arts: -. Performances at different events in the Chelsea community of folk and cultural dances. -. Presentations in different cities of New England 4. Outdoor event directed and executed by Grupo Torogoz called "Multicultural Festival 'El Salvador del Mundo' at 180 Walnut Street Chelsea, Massachusetts -Coronation of independence queen of El Salvador -Recognition of our main sponsor Chelsea Cultural Council -Recognition of Latin Pride -Representative musical presentations of our culture -Main presentation of our group to the Chelsea community
Outline how you plan to market your project and the timeline you intend to follow. In addition, outline the audiences you intend to reach (be specific). You may attach an additional document if necessary. The group will promote this project through radio, newspapers, social media, brochures, community agencies, city councils, school departments and religious centers. For the theoretical and dance school, the schedule we will follow is from February to November 2024, 2 hours a day for two days a week, making a total of 24 hours of theoretical class and 9 months of practical rehearsal. For visual arts events, the schedule we will follow is from May to December 2024, we commonly attend 10 traditional Chelsea community events, where we are invited but do not have the dates. The students of the theoretical and dance school are children from 8 to 12 years old, adolescents and adults. (At the moment there are 30 members) For the visual arts, the audience is the entire Chelsea community and the communities of the cities from which we are invited.
What benefit(s) will this project bring to Chelsea and its residents? How do you expect to engage the community? the benefits are -the learning of children born here about the roots of their ancestors -The demonstration of our culture, our roots, our heritage and our customs through dances and cultural shows to the community of different cultures and different ages -Encourage group members to stay in touch with their roots and culture while staying entertained and active -Spectator entertainment

Acknowledgement of the Chelsea Heritage Celebrations Grant by the CCC is mandatory on all advertisement and promotions. How do you plan to accomplish this? Be specific. Promote it as our sponsor in all advertising we use, which would be flyers, brochures, radio, publications on social networks, etc.
How will you measure the success/impact of this project? 1. In the learning of theory and practice of our members. 2. In the growth of the group (both schools) 3. In the welcoming of the community of Chelsea 4. Manage to be present with the majority of members prepared to perform our dances in Chelsea's festive activities. 5. Recognition of the group as a Hispanic heritage organization

Expenses for the requested project

1. Artists / Project Fees $4,000.00
Description Invitation to several artists identified with Hispanic culture to perform at an open-air/outdoor multicultural event where transportation, accommodation and donations will be incurred for their performances.
2. Food & Beverage $1,000.00
Description In theoretical and dance school, water, juice and snacks will be given to members. -A small lunch will be given to volunteers and dancers from Grupo Torogoz at the outdoor multicultural event (03/08/2024)
3. Advertising $600.00
Description We want to create banners with the group name, badges for group members (so they are recognized as members of the group in events), and promocional flyers of the group.
4. Facility Rental Fees $2,125.00
Description -We use the Clark Avenue Middle School cafeteria facilities for a cost of $20 per hour. We have 100 hours scheduled from February to November. -We will rent the space outside the Williams Middle School building for $125 for the outdoor multicultural event.
5. Equipment Rental $800.00
Description We will need a DJ, sound equipment, a master of ceremony, a projector, and stage lights for the multicultural event. I will make a donation to the volunteers in this area.

Description I will need to rent chairs, tables, and tents. I will buy balloons, flowers, flags, crowns for the queens, and sashes for the queens. All for the Multicultural event.

Description For the rent of the facility at the Clark, it is required to have a insurance for the members of the group and to attend events as a group. Coverage for one year ($400 annually).
