Location of Project This is a parade that will start from Welsh funeral home's parking lot - 718 Broadway and march through Broadway avenue all the way to Chelsea square, the park in front of the police station.

Briefly describe your audience(s) and mission as an artist or organization. This is an event for all types of audience, everyone is welcome to participate and have a great time. The audience can be all individuals from the city of Chelsea and other neighbor cities around us.
Briefly describe the project that will take place. This is going to be the 8th parade to celebrate the Independence day, September 15 of 5 of the Central American countries together. During this event we will display different aspects of our culture for everyone to enjoy and learn about. There will also be performances that include traditional folkloric dance groups and singers from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. It is very important to celebrate this event for Us. As a big growing community in this city we want to proudly celebrate Chelsea's 400 anniversary and show that is really important to acknowledge the love and our gratitude towards this marvelous place that opened its doors for us.

We usually promote this event by making and sharing flyers, posters, making phone calls, and making other small events such as bingos, raffles, and small celebrations where people can make donations to the group. This is an event for all types of audiences.
What benefit(s) will this project bring to Chelsea and its residents? How do you expect to engage the community? There will also be performances that include traditional folkloric dance groups and singers from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The music groups will come from artist around the chelsea area, and for the 7th consecutive years we've had a group of Honduran folkloric dancers came all the way from Maryland. It is a well planned event with many different ways to entertain the audiences.
Are you partnering and/or collaborating with other organizations? If so, name the organization(s) and their role(s) in the project. We usually have other collaborations from the collaborative in chelsea and other small businesses that collaborate with donations for the event.
Acknowledgement of the Chelsea Heritage Celebrations Grant by the CCC is mandatory on all advertisement and promotions. How do you plan to accomplish this? Be specific. We usually promote this event by making and sharing flyers, posters, making phone calls, and making other small events such as bingos, raffles, and small celebrations where people can make donations to the group. This is an event for all types of audiences.
How will you measure the success/impact of this project? It is hard to measure success for an outdoor event, but making sure that we have the funds to provide great ways to entertain people, make sure that we have a great schedule, a great support team, and making sure that we have a safe environment will make this event successful as it have been for seven years.
How will the project be modified if the entire amount is not awarded? Be specific. Our group will create other ways to acquire funds to have this event. We make other small events such as bingos, raffles, and small celebrations where people can make donations to the group.
