| Subject of Proclamation or Commendation | We are requesting the week of July 15th be declared Federal Resources Corporation Week in Erie. That week, Federal Resources Corporation will host its bi-annual Erie Summit for its employees and partners. Over 100 people will gather in Erie for training, planning, and team building events as well as explore more deeply our connection to the Erie community. |
| Background or description of person or organization | In 2018, CEO Jeremy Young acquired Federal Resources Corporation (FRC) and moved its headquarters from Northern Virginia to Erie as a sign of his commitment to the economic revitalization of our community. FRC provides mission-critical cybersecurity solutions for the US Federal Government and diverse enterprise environments. Headquartered in Erie' West Bayfront neighborhood, FRC is equally committed to the growth and prosperity of our community. We partnered with Mercyhurst University to develop of cybersecurity talent pipeline. We supply quality, life-sustaining jobs to the community. FRC has been named to the INC 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the country 5 times since 2017 as was also named an Inner City 100 fastest growing companies in an under-resourced area in 2023. |
| Description of program, initiative, or accomplishment | The Erie Summit is a week-long conference to be hosted in Erie for all FRC employees as well as its partners. The Summit will focus on reviewing our successful year, our goals and outlook for the coming year, highlight our work in the community, provide training to our employees, plan for the year to come, and enjoy time together on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie. |
| Explanation of how this person or organization impacts the Erie community | FRC has brought significant job growth to the area as well as imported over $100 million in annual revenue to the Erie area. The company is led by Jeremy Young, an Erie native, who moved the company here in 2018. FRC has purchased and rehabilitated its HQ building on West 8th in the heart of the West Bayfront. We actively serve on boards, volunteer with local organizations, and invest our dollars back into community. In 2021, we began our partnership with Mercyhurst University to prepare students for jobs in cybersecurity. |
