Briefly describe your audience(s) and mission as an artist or organization. This year the City is celebrating our Quadricentennial ( we've been here 400 years!). This year will be a little different as we are celebrating our Quadricentennial and we will have a Parade and Floats, marching band etc all down Broadway Chelsea and end the event on Mary O'Malley Park for the grand festival and we are hoping to have fireworks to end of the event. This annual event is to Celebrate the City of Chelsea and the community, non-profits, schools, youth organizations, all business' to come together one day a year and enjoy all or wonderful city has to offer and more.There is fun and entertainment for the whole family, we celebrate local musicians, dance groups, singers etc. The community really gets involved we have many local artists who present their artwork and poetry. For each year we have organized this even for the community it has gotten bigger and better. We hope to continue to showcase what our wonderful community has to offer and help bring to the next level.
Briefly describe the project that will take place. Parade down Broadway to end festivities at Mary O'Malley park for the celebration, live performances, singing, dancing. A free event subsidized by the City and volunteers.
Outline how you plan to market your project and the timeline you intend to follow. In addition, outline the audiences you intend to reach (be specific). You may attach an additional document if necessary. The City of Chelsea website, Flyers, local tv ads, newspaper ads, social media sites, radio ads. We also created a website for the 400th Anniversary, there will be notices all on the website as well. City of Chelsea, community, residents and business owners, non-profits etc.
What benefit(s) will this project bring to Chelsea and its residents? How do you expect to engage the community? Community togetherness, since it's start it has only expanded. Business to downtown Chelsea storefronts and restaurants. This is a community event so the community as well as our schools are very heavily involved.
Are you partnering and/or collaborating with other organizations? If so, name the organization(s) and their role(s) in the project. In the past local business have sponsored some food, carnival games, rides etc.
Acknowledgement of the Chelsea Heritage Celebrations Grant by the CCC is mandatory on all advertisement and promotions. How do you plan to accomplish this? Be specific. By listing the CHC grant by CCC on advertisements.
How will you measure the success/impact of this project? Same as we have every year. We hold a meeting with everyone who will be involved we discuss that success' and impacts as well as what was unsuccessful etc. and work from there. This year since we are celebrating our Quadricentennial, we have a 400th Steering Committee as well as the usual participants and volunteers.
How will the project be modified if the entire amount is not awarded? Be specific. It won't.
