| Please Describe the Incident Thoroughly | There was DPW machinery in my lane without any signs heading north bound on Pearl St. I was driving north bound on Pearl St and stopped to follow directions. A construction worker standing in the middle of the street directed me to drive around a sink hole forming in the middle of the street. I proceeded to drive between the sink hole and the machine where the worker directed me to drive and as I did, I side swiped a steel plate that was lifted in the air on the front of the machine that was not visible from my point of view as there were no reflective cones. |

| Describe the Conditions you choose | The construction vehicle, workers, and steel plate were operating to cover a sink hole forming in the middle of Pearl Street which deems it a construction zone (though there were no cones or signs to indicate the conditions). It had been raining for hours and was still during the time of the accident, so the pavement was wet. The rain being considered an inclement weather condition contributed to low visibility as well as it being night time. |
