| Please Describe the Incident Thoroughly | I was driving to my doctors office at Beth Israel, 1000 Broadway and there was all kinds of construction and the area was a mess from whatever was happening. There was a crater that I was unable to see because of the heavy traffic in the location. My right front tire went into the crater and coming out of it caused damage to the trim area along the front lower corner of my 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz. The trim is severely damaged, gouged and scraped from hitting the sides of the crater. This damage would only have been avoidable if there was visibility of the crater and possibly something nearby to prevent anyone driving into it |

| Additional detail on location (if needed). | They were doing a lot of work on the street and right in front of the entrance to the parking lot for my doctors appointment. They had holes in the street which were not visible when cars were in front of each other. I never saw the hole that damaged my vehicle, until my car bottomed out in it and scraped gouges into my vehicles edging (the part of the car that is all along all edges of it, I don’t know what the correct word is for it). I haven’t gone for an estimate to replace the damaged section). |
