Describe your parking charge program. |
The parking expense from the landlord is $1650 monthly. From that amount, employees pay a total of $548.40 monthly, leaving a net monthly expense of $1106.80 for the month of July for example. Numbers vary given hire/terminations - Employee parking rates are based on job class and number of days they drive to the office. Parking charges are automatically deducted from paychecks on the 15th of each month. Staff have the option of writing a check. Number of drive days each quarter can be adjusted. This methodology is based on driving averages and the honor system. I will attach the information sheet we provide to employees explaining the different rates based on salaries/positions since there is a range. It is challenging because we don't want to place an undue burden on our staff given that salaries are less than competitive.

Employees (unless living more than 2 hours from the office) are required to come in to the office minimum once a week (Mondays) assuming their job descriptions allow remote work. Many employees choose to work remotely 1 or 2 days a week. We also have "Early Off" Fridays during the summer (from Memorial Day through to Labor Day). 1 employee works remotely 3 days a week and comes in to the office twice a week.

We offer this shift option to our aquarium staff since we've extended and broadened the hours we are now open to the public = 7 days a week, close at 6pm. This option give them desk time for admin tasks and a break when working weekend rotations.
