In the current national political climate with the attacks on the drag and trans communities, we would like to stand with the City of West Hollywood, united in our support of our marginalized brothers and sisters. This campy, community based, drag cheer competition can break down barriers and be a beacon of hope for the rest of country to see that diversity and inclusion exist. In addition to raising awareness and funds for local HIV community-based organizations.

| How does this event benefit the West Hollywood community and/or the City? |
There are two main benefits: 1) funds raised at this event will go directly to programs benefiting the residents of West Hollywood and surrounding communities living with HIV; 2) as participants in the cheer competition, West Hollywood City Council will show support, solidarity and awareness to current events impacting the LGBTQI community.
