The California NOW State Conference brings together people in the community interested in women's rights and issues of particular concern to women for the purpose of providing educational and enrichment-focused workshops, speakers and other programming. The City has a history of supporting women's rights, not the least of which is the right to reproductive healthcare, and the programming for this conference is consistent with the City's core values, mission, and strategic goals and programs. Holding the event in the City, on the City's facilities, would further reinforce the City's commitment to women's rights and the female residents of the City.

| How does this event benefit the West Hollywood community and/or the City? |
The event would offer an opportunity for residents and other City stakeholders who are interested in women's rights to engage with the City and community leaders on issues important to them. This conference is also an opportunity for Hollywood NOW to collaborate with the City's Women's Advisory Board on programming for the conference. The conference would bring to West Hollywood attendees from outside the City to engage with the City and shop/eat/explore retail and restaurant businesses in the City.

Not all Co-Sponsorships will include monetary support from the City.
