We just moved in about 6 weeks ago and there is a SIGNIFICANT speeding problem on this street--going in both directions; it's not just coming down the hill. I would estimate that 1 in every 3 cars that passes by our house (and there is a lot of traffic on this street) is moderately to significantly going over the speed limit. It's not unusual (especially in the evenings) to see cars pass by at what is likely 50+ mph. I've even seen people getting passed on this street because they aren't going fast enough. One of these resulted in an altercation that my kids witnessed. We have young children (1 and 3) and are very afraid of being out on the sidewalk. It's just completely lawless on this street. We are new residents to Monrovia and we have never experienced such a thing. We previously lived in a rental house just two streets over on Ivy Ave. There was a speeding problem, yes, but nothing like this. This is much, much worse. Please help!
