Genoa St. is the first street North of Duarte Road. As such, when there is traffic congestion in the intersection of Mayflower and Duarte, drivers bypass the congestion by driving down Genoa St. at high rates of speed. Additionally, when there is Goldline traffic caused by the arm on Magnolia, frustrated drivers will turn down Genoa St. at high speeds. Traffic has increased greatly after the completion of the Goldline and it has increased due to the major construction on the parcels around Station Square which causes street closures diverting traffic to Genoa.. This construction will be going on for years to come, unfortunately. Speed bumps would be the perfect solution similar to the ones on Diamond St. West of Mayflower. Thanks for your time!
