The event will be happening in March, the designated month to honor women. The goals for the event is that it be a celebratory event honoring the achievement and courage of women world wide. We want it to be an informative, inspiring, educational,and fun cultural event. It will offer many artists the chance to showcase their work. This event is designed to strengthen the feeling of community in West Hollywood. As the West Hollywood Park will be the generative place of the project it will be a chance to showcase the beauty and functionality of the West Hollywood Park.
The co-sponsorship with the city will help the project gain sponsorship, and publicity to attract people to the event. It is to be hoped it will further enhance the reputation of West Hollywood as a city that promotes and support the arts and culture as well as helping solidify the feeling of community in West Hollywood. it is our hope that Ladies of Courage will inspire everyone to courageously step into their own power, realize their gifts and offer them at this time of need,

How does this event benefit the West Hollywood community and/or the City? |
After the long pandemic we have all lived through it will provide a safe way for the community to experience a celebratory cultural event. It will provide many artists the opportunity to show their work. It will highlight the functionality and beauty of the West Hollywood Park. Two local businesses the Ariana Rug company and the Abbey with walls facing into the park will gain more recognition by allowing their walls to be projected upon. Local businesses, especially the restaurants and cafes, will also receive the benefit of the people drawn into the park. It will be another way for West Hollywood to demonstrate its commitment to the community and help enhance its reputation as a city that promotes the arts. It will draw the community together to experience an uplifting event that includes a great diversity of people.

City Facility Use (if yes, which facility and room, as applicable), Promotion of the event via the City’s communication channels, Validated parking at a City Lot (if yes, which City parking lot or parking facility), Fee waivers for ancillary City permits that may be required for the event (e.g., Special event permit, building and safety permit, encroachment permits, etc.), Monetary Support. Not all Co-Sponsorships will include monetary support from the City. Please keep in mind, public funds must be used to support the community, must serve a public purpose, and requests will be reviewed in accordance with all applicable laws. The request must explain how this funding would be used to cover direct program costs. Funds are disbursed on a reimbursable basis after the provision of suitable expenditure documentation (e.g., receipts).
