| Please Describe the Incident Thoroughly | On Thursday oct 12,2022 at approximately 1:30 pm I Heather Lincoln was involved in a collision with a pot hole. I had just come from dollar tree heading back home. I was turning right on to Broadway from webster ave when i had gone over a sunken pipe when my tire rod and axel broke causing all the fluids to leak out, at that time several men from the fire department and barber shop on Broadway (engine3 ladder 2) came out to assist with the car which was unmovable. A chelsea police officer came and called todisco for a tow truck. The driver for todisco had moved the car to 882 Broadway so it wouldn't be in the middle of the street for no charge. I then called 1-800-pep boys to have the car towed to pep boys located at 1886 revere beach parkway. The following day pep boys gave me the estimate for damages of $2,243,70 of which I don't have . I am disabled and live on a fixed income and several medical issues, A little over 2 years ago I bought the car with the help from my father who passed shortly after. I have a 2001 chrysler PT cruiser that has been well maintained. The car had passed inspection in june. On october 17, 2022 I had called my insurance and was told that I don't have collision on my insurance and that it is not covered and that I can put a claim in but will be denied so it wouldn't help, Since the accident I have been trying to see what I can do to have it fixed. I have asked pep boys to give me some time and hold off on the repairs until I have a way to pay for the repairs. I have enclosed pictures of the street which has been damaged for a long time and is only getting worse, and the estimate from pep boys |
