Please Describe the Incident Thoroughly I work for DPW of Chelsea. i was heading to work at the City yard on Saturday 07/02/2022 when i caught a flat tire and damaged one of my rims from a deep pothole at the intersection of Spruce and Williams st. When i got to the city yard i tried to inflate the tire but the damage was so bad that it didn’t inflate. There has been construction going on at Beacham st for some time and it has taken a toll on my vehicle from scratching my bumper and denting my rims. Ebeytime it rains the gravel on Beacham st sinks in and the potholes on the road become even deeper and harder for me to drive even when i go less than 5mph. at times the road is so bad that i even have difficulty from entering and leaving the city yard because of how steep the ramp is. I have left my car at the city yard after work a few times to avoid damaging my vehicle more but I can’t leave my car at the yard everyday so it is hard for me. Finding a replacement tire to match the ones i currently have on my vehicle has been difficult because they discontinued making that tire a few months ago. After weeks of searching i finally found the same tire and purchased it for $366.39 I will also have to pay a mechanic to put my rim on the new tire and mount/balance it so that will be additional money. I am looking to get reimbursed for the tire i bought and the damages to my rims and my front bumper.
