AMAAD (Arming Minorities Against Addiction and Disease) is an integrated peer-based community engagement agency with the mission to facilitate personalized individual access to programs and services that foster safe and supportive healthy environments for people to live, learn, and develop to their fullest potential. AMAAD provides essential and support services, community support, resources and referrals, centered around specialized strength-based management services and leadership development with a focus among LGBTQ+ people of color.

While the services at AMAAD are welcoming to everyone in the community, we are and have always been intentionally and unapologetically culturally resonant to the Black and Brown LGBTQ+ community.

With West Hollywood, being a mecca for the gay male community in particular and the LGBTQ+ community in general, many of our clients socialize and attend events hosted in West Hollywood. Attending the event will have us reaching into a community where our clients spend a good deal of time as well as connecting us to community members who might not be familiar with The AMAAD Institute.
