Option 1: Activate a designated space in the footprint of a WeHo Pride event held in the vicinity of West Hollywood Park and San Vicente Blvd. during the weekend of June 3-5, 2022, Option 2: Request City funding for a separately produced event.

Option 1 - Space within WeHo Pride Footprint

Please describe you proposed programming/activity within the WeHo Pride footprint: The House and Ballroom Scene is and has historically been a vivid display of community, culture and self expression. As an homage to the past and present of ball culture, we will create an immersive, celebratory moments with key elements from the ball experience with particular attention to dance, movement, colors, textures and iconography. Guests will experience fun interactive moments that speak to the empowering and competitive nature of a traditional ball, as well as delivering an emotional collective applause to the rich history of this LGBTQ cultural expression. We would like to have a 20 foot by 30 runway T sized stage. Our proposal is to host a live "Ball" all ages vogue dance competition. This will require staging, lighting and DJ sound booth. This is an all ages event that is free to the public to participate in and or watch and cheer the houses competing for prizes.

An immersive experience that incorporates components of an authentic ball with luxurious touches while generating buzz and driving awareness of community building .This will be a moment that will drive social amplifications through unique and shareable moments, as well as integrated partnerships, and highly curated invite list of authentic ballroom legends and culture tastemakers Our event is community driven and all ages. We are requesting $30k for talent, prices and event coordination. Our main judge and comenator will be the host of HBO Max's "Legendary" Dashaun Wesley. Dashaun will attract professional Vogue dancers as well as non-professional dancers who want to engage and compete in our categories.
