Please briefly describe the Organization/Group's connection to LGBTQ Pride JQ's mission is to celebrate and strengthen queer Jewish joy within our LGBTQ+ and ally Jewish community. One of our busiest and most important times of the years is Pride month! It's when our community members needs connection the most, and wants to feel a part of a larger LGBTQ+ and ally Jewish community. We are already hosting a "Pride Shabbat" event on Friday, June 3rd, and will be listing it as part of our Pride events for that weekend.
Please briefly describe the Organization/Group's connection to West Hollywood JQ's headquarters are located in the heart of West Hollywood, overlooking Santa Monica Blvd and just 1 block from the rainbow crosswalks. Before the pandemic, JQ had always hosted a Pride Brunch located at it's headquarters, offering a space for LGBTQ+ Jews and allies to come together and watch the Pride parade. As this is the first official year back for Pride in person, we definitely want to participate in the parade or festival, and connect with other LGBTQ+ Jews and Allies across West Hollywood and beyond.
