Please briefly describe your organization/group and its mission or purpose: ProjectQ is a salon and community center aimed at providing services for queer youth experiencing housing insecurities. We offer free gender affirming haircuts, access to food, hygiene, and clothes. We also offer self-empowering workshops, and recently launched our own employment program, and mental health services. All of this is at absolutely no cost to our youth. April 1st is our 10th anniversary of providing free services to our youth, and can’t wait to see where the next 10 years takes us.

Please briefly describe the Organization/Group's connection to LGBTQ Pride ProjectQ is an organization focusing on giving our queer youth a sense of Pride and stability in so many ways. We’re working from the outside in to give youth a positive outlook on themselves and our community,
Please briefly describe the Organization/Group's connection to West Hollywood ProjectQ serves youth all over LA. We have also partnered with local businesses in WeHo providing community spaces and holding fundraisers for our youth and the community.

In what way is your organization/group seeking to integrate with WeHo Pride? Option 2: Request City funding for a separately produced event.

Option 2 - Separately Produced Event

Please describe you proposed event: We have an annual youth pride event on Father’s Day. This is a substance free event for youth to have fun and celebrate pride. Our aim is to de-centralize substance abuse and focus on what pride means for our community and our families.
Will you be requesting supplemental funding from the City? Yes

Supplemental Funding

Please describe how you would use the supplemental funding for your event/activation: The funding provided by the city of West Hollywood would be used for the event to ensure we can give free and safe access to our event. Funding would be used to secure an event space, food, activities, and other miscellaneous occurrences that will help the event run smoothly.
