| Please Describe the Incident Thoroughly | On Wednesday evening (2/2/22) around 6:15PM, my room mate & I had returned from getting dinner and running errands. We made a purchase at Chipotle at 5:54PM and made a purchase at CVS at 5:59 PM (screenshot of credit card history attached). After this, we drove back to Chelsea. We tried to park on Library St, where we live, though no spots were available. The surrounding streets were likewise unavailable. We found a spot at 571 Broadway St where residents can legally park. There was a sign in the snow bank (image attached) that stated NO PARKING 8PM-5AM from 2/1/22 (Tuesday) to 2/2/22 (Wednesday). The sign indicated that the parking ban ended at 5AM on Wednesday February 2nd, 12 hours before I parked at that location. Per the text of the sign, my parking was legal that evening. According to the attached tow document, my car was reported at 6:48PM and was towed by 8:40PM. At 2:49AM my partner called and asked for a ride as there was a sudden emergency she needed to attend to. I went to get my car and realized at 3:27AM on Thursday 2/3 that my car was towed. I called the police at 3:29AM and they directed me to Tedisco Towing. I ordered an Uber, paid to have my car released, and attended to my partner’s emergency. As I was improperly towed per the posted signage, I am asking to be reimbursed for the cost of the towing ($159.34) and the cost of the Uber required to reach the tow lot ($18.14) for a total of $177.48.
